This is the shaving cream i use most of the time. I actually got it from the shop where i bought the brush and the knife, for free. But i would gladly pay the price. If i would have followed shaveblogs advice i would have immediately gone for a tub of Taylor of bond street or similar, but this one is really nice…
It’s a pretty nondescript brand, its main ingredients eucalyptus and menthol. It makes my skin not too dry so i can easily do a first rough shave (with the grain), and then a second cleaning shave (perpendicular to the grain, or against in some places). All with the same brush.
Its consistency forces you to take your time. I dip my hot wet brush in the jar and stir it like one would a cup of joe. (I don’t use cream or sugar, but i imagine that is how one would stir…)
The lovely smell really wakes me up nicely.
