This little bottle of magic is shaving oil. I got a shave once at the barber in Hotel New York in Rotterdam. They used this for the clean out shave. I bought it at my local hair dresser that happened to be one of the rare dealers of “American Crew”. The brand name is hideous, but i am addicted to the “Fiber” hair gunk, and now this.
Five drops of this and some hot water and i can really get down on the patches of stubble that remain after the first shave.
What is nice about it is how hands on it is. I pull my skin tight with the palm/fingers of my left hand, and while doing so you keep on putting a thin layer of oil between the skin and the blade, so you can shave really really really close.
I would love to be shaved once by a professional with a real blade and this kind of product.
In a future episode i will tell you about my after shaves. There is one in the background in these pics, but i am not too fond of it: Taylor of old bond street. It has witch hazel in it, which is a necessity, it feels nice afterwards, but the smell is not too good. Smells a bit of old spice, which is definitely not a favourite of mine. Before this one i had a nice simple balm from Roger & Gallet, which was much much nicer, but impossible to find anymore.
My next bottle is not a balm but a regular aftershave, also from Roger & Gallet. When i use it i will tell you how i like it.
